Though he has failed as president as the country hasn't been in such economic distress since the Great Depression because of his incompetent and irresponsible handling of the pandemic, I will give Trump credit for reducing political correctness to the final state of the Twin Towers. 

Once you're in the ring and you want to be champion of the world or just mayor of Brownsville, you have to prove that you can handle the shit fired at you as a result of our First Amendment rights or in your heart of hearts you are a closet dictator who wants power and wants to stay in power at all costs. 

Trump has succeeded because he has broken all the politically correct rules. The powerless love seeing the powerful mocked. We despise their superiority complexes. Politicians have a long track record of being the scum of the earth. They deserve to be the targets of the slings and arrows of our outrage as they have led us into unjust wars and personally benefitted from corruption. 

As a writer and an iconoclast myself, I cringe when my freedom of expression is threatened. As a gentleman and a class act, I believe we have to pick and choose carefully, but I would have no problems with Trump calling Pelosi "a worthless cunt" even though I'm a staunch supporter of the Speaker. 

That's the way we roll these days and with our children raised on rap and hip-hop, we are only going to become more creative. In all fairness to Miss Nancy, Trump is "a worthless cock."

My patio faces east. In the early afternoon the sun has embarked on its ancient descent toward the west and I relax on my lawn chair in the shade. I breathe deeply. My lungs are clear. Coronavirus has me contemplating life from a variety of angles. I am led to believe that those who suffer death from the disease suffocate. That doesn't sound like a pleasant exit to me. As a result of this grim reality, I have quit smoking dope. I don't want to weaken my lungs any more than 55 years of puffing on joints has wreaked on them.
