God is good. Allah is great. Karma is a bitch. You reap what you sow. Nobody has spit in the faces of the gods more than Trump, which has led to a predictable end. As a result of his blatant stupidity, Donald Trump and his poor mistreated wife Melania have been struck down by COVID-19.

Who is more deserving of this fate than this piece of shit? Time and time again he has defied the most basic rules of wearing a mask, social-distancing and avoiding large crowds. He has humiliated his opponent Joe Biden for taking every precaution in the book.

Trump, who gives himself an "A+" and a "Ten" for his performance even though there are more than 200,000 Americans dead with the number projected to grow thousands if not hundreds of thousands, blathers that if Biden had been at the helm, more than 2 million Americans would be dead. It would be more accurate to speculate that had Trump followed Biden's example, there might only be 20,000 dead.

While millions of his fellow citizens are publicly expressing their sympathies, they are secretly applauding his diagnosis. Even though he is no expert himself, he has told the experts that he knows more than they do and that the pandemic would disappear like a miracle, dissipate in the spring sun and vanish after a shot or two of bleach.

He knew back in January that COVID was deadly and contagious, but he lied to the country about the disease's looming threat. One of his closest advisors was ruled positive Wednesday and by the most fundamental of protocols he should have quarantined himself, but he went to a Thursday night fundraiser and refused to wear a mask, stood shoulder to shoulder with the donors and welcomed a full house.

Everybody knows that he doesn't read the Bible; maybe he should have at least read Genesis. He would have known the extent of God's fury when Adam and Eve defied him and he ran them out of the Garden of Eden, when the the world defied him and he ordered Noah to build the ark in preparation for the flood that would wipe out mankind and when the debauched populations of Sodom and Gomorrah shot him the middle finger and he retaliated by raining balls of fire on the two cities and burning them to the ground.

We rejoice that Trump has been marked by Our Creator as the second Cain. We rejoice that the wicked are punished. We rejoice that the earth has opened and swallowed up the stiff-necked Trump. We rejoice that evil has met its match. Alleluia. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing! 

If you're going to misuse drugs, then you are going to overdose. If you are going to have sex without protection, then you are going to come down with a venereal disease. If you drive drunk all the time, then you are going to suffer a serious accident.

If in the time of Coronavirus you don't wear a mask, if you don't social distance, if you don't avoid large crowds and if you publicly express contempt for those individuals who are not only trying to protect themselves but their fellow neighbors as well, you deserve to pay the highest price for your transgressions when you and only you are responsible for thousands of American fatalities. Instead of leading us in a healthy direction, you have chosen to lead us down a deathly path. 

While you foolishly asserted that you won the debate against Biden the other night when you played a fool that would have required all of William Shakespeare's talents to create, humanity is crowning you the Most Foolish Person in the World.

We would wish Trump the worst. He must be defeated in November if we are going to recover the soul of our country and have a hopeful future, but we must refrain from unleashing our most fervid hate on him. COVID has no boundaries and by wishing the worst on someone else, we're inviting the same curse on ourselves.

For the record and out of respect for God's wrath: Get well quick, Donald and Melania.

My patio faces east. In the early afternoon the sun has embarked on its ancient descent toward the west and I relax on my lawn chair in the shade. I breathe deeply. My lungs are clear. Coronavirus has me contemplating life from a variety of angles. I am led to believe that those who suffer death from the disease suffocate. That doesn't sound like a pleasant exit to me.
