DONALD TRUMP: "When the looting starts, the shooting starts."

(EDITOR'S NOTE: The glorious reign of King Donald continues as he consolidates his racist base by promising to rain bullets down on African-Americans who escape being lynched by KKK cops. (Is there any difference between a rope around your neck and a white pig's knee buried in your throat as we saw on television as an Anglo police officer killed George Floyd in broad daylight before a crowd of people?) What's a few more corpses when you are responsible for the deaths of more than 100,000 Americans owing to your blatant incompetence and ignorance!!! Let's make America great again, which it may have been until Trump limped into office--He allegedly suffers from the same bone spurs that allowed him to skip Vietnam where he could have done some real shooting and fashioned himself a collar of "gook" ears, a fashionable look that Melania could have promoted with the proper cleavage in the background--and proved that he a was bully with the gonads of a filly. Since the Republicans have lost their way with Trump more out of control than a teenage drunk behind the wheel, we can welcome the ghost of Neo-Democrat Ronald Reagan to the fold and repeat the question--in a Joe Biden ad--that won him eight years of free rent in the White House: "Are you better off today than you were four years ago?" Except for a batch of billionaires and the Trump brats, "No" is the resounding response. How many more people will die under Trump's watch? We know that the president with the petite prick won't be watching? He will be blasting Fox for not showering him with 100% loyalty; he will be threatening Twitter, his life line to the world, for flagging him for telling lies and touting violence; and he will be charging a popular TV personality with murder because the former Republican wouldn't stagger behind a blind man into the darkness. How bad will Trump lose it over the next five months? Nobody will be surprised if at one of his COVID infected rallies he boasts, "I could shoot Mike Pence in the Rose Garden and grab his wife by her private parts and nobody would do nothing." (He is such an ass that a double negative doesn't do him justice.) Will he win reelection? He took Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania by 80,000 votes. Here he is the most vulnerable, but there are a number of other states where the citizenry desires nothing more than toppling this monarch from his throne in a peaceful replay of the French Revolution that excludes the guillotine in a final act of political and poetic justice. The king is dead! Long live Joe Biden! Trump and his traitors can unload on Biden, but the former VP just has to keep his folksy smile and take a page from George W. Bush's book in which he is the kind of guy with whom you would want to share a beer in a country bar with a lovely señorita sitting on a stool between the both of you. The Bushes and thousands of other Republicans are voting for Biden who will not lose any Democratic support. For all you Trump haters (The true Trump toadies are haters like their satanic megalomaniac whose list of  individuals and institutions he abhors slithers after him like a rat's tail) and the rest of the Religious Right hypocrites whose daughters they would offer to their sultan as concubines, there is no light at the end of the tunnel. People will continue to die; the economy will continue to decline; and Trump will continue to prove that stupidity is a virtue if you solely surround yourself with stupid people.)

My patio faces east. In the early afternoon the sun has embarked on its ancient descent toward the west and I relax on my lawn chair in the shade. I breathe deeply. My lungs are clear. Coronavirus has me contemplating life from a variety of angles. I am led to believe that those who suffer death from the disease suffocate. That doesn't sound like a pleasant exit to me. As a result of this grim reality, I have quit smoking dope. I don't want to weaken my lungs any more than 55 years of puffing on joints has wreaked on them. I have been retired for three years from the BISD after the superintendent threatened to fire me if I kept writing. I chose to keep writing. It is my spiritual calling. I had contributed 39 years to the school district and I was working for free. Retirement was a logical option. I don't miss the job, but I do miss my students, athletes and colleagues.
