"What does a blogger do when the political season is over?"

He decompresses.

"How do you plan to decompress?"

I'm going to exercise and play tennis more regularly for starters. Then there are the personal projects that I have had on hold while I've navigated the political season.

"I saw that you wrote that you were going to be less informative about Brownsville. Is that true? Is that possible?"

I'm spending less time blogging and more time pursuing other creative activities.

"Like what?"

I have a Russian size memoir that is going to require months of work. There are poems and short stories that occur to me. There will be no lack of writing.

"I suppose without politics, there isn't much to write about locally?"

The stories never cease. There are soap operas at the city, the county, the school district, the college, the port, GBIC, BCIC and PUB for starters. There are scores of personalities whom I can feature. There is the struggle to promote downtown and we still have Coronavirus killing us. Watching the Trump meltdown will be entertaining. There is never a dearth of material. The question we ask ourselves are they worth following? At The Murphy Report we are featuring photos with satirical and cynical headlines that the insiders can appreciate as you have noticed lately. It is important to keep the blog and Facebook alive. We think of ourselves as an outlet if a person finds himself in distress but with no platform to tell his story.

"I am deducing that your blogging has become a habit that you can't easily abandon?"

There is truth to that conclusion, but I'm tired of the same bullshit. I won't ignore obvious wrongs in our community, but if I don't do a better job at exploring my literary side, I feel that I will be spinning my wheels and going nowhere fast.

"Is City Commissioner Ben Neece running for reelection?"

Stop it!!! I'm only interested in Biden solidifying his lead against Trump. As far as Brownsville is concerned, I don't want to entertain municipal questions until January. In case I don't see your ugly face in the near future, Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas.
